Adobe's Creative Cloud |
The Adobe Creative Cloud, which will implement a major update for the highly popular Adobe Creative Suite (CS) on June 18 2013, is priced based on specific membership classifications. It is RM155 per month for individual membership with 20GB of cloud storage and US$69.99 (estimated RM200) for Creative Cloud Team, which includes 100GB, centralised deployment, and administrative capabilities and everything individual users will receive. Users can sign-up now, purchase, and use the new software now and will receive the updates once it becomes available.
Large enterprises will have the option of custom tailoring their Creative Cloud package and the enhanced services that come with it.
To facilitate and encourage users to hop onto the new Cloud system, Adobe has announced that existing customers who own CS3 to CS5.5 will only need to pay RM92/month for the entire software suite plus add-ons instead of the full rate, which is RM155/month. CS6 users have a better deal as they only need to pay RM61/ month during the promotion period, which ends after August 31 2013. ‘Point Products’, which refers to individual Adobe apps, such as Photoshop CC and so on, are priced at RM61/ month with the promo price being set at RM30/month.
With the new Creative Cloud platform, Adobe now offers a subscription-based service that offers more than 30 tools and services that enable professional-grade content creation and delivery across print, web, mobile apps, video and photography. This includes the latest Adobe Creative Suite - now renamed as Adobe CC, all of its add-ons, newly developed solutions and tutorials for past, current and upcoming Adobe apps. There will also be continuous updates for user support, templates, and font-types.
“The creative process has changed tremendously over the past year with improved app productivity being affected in a big way. Since the launch of the Creative Cloud for Teams, we have seen demand for the Creative Cloud shot up among individuals and large enterprises. As such, Adobe stepped up to the task of improving, and then introducing,
the Creative Cloud for the entire creative ecosystem,” says Vicky Skipp, Regional Director, Adobe Southeast Asia (SEA).
Part of the Creative Cloud rollout for users is the major update that Adobe is including for the core desktop tools. Beyond the renaming and the major improvements, they are now fully integrated onto Adobe’s Cloud platform and have Behance, one of the world’s largest online creative community, integrated into the system as well.
